“Canvas (has a) more user-friendly and more intuitive interface than Blackboard.”
Andrea DiGiorgio, Princeton Writing Program
Course: Sustainable Futures
Mastering and managing the sheer number of digital pedagogical tools is an ongoing challenge. Canvas combines a number of different capabilities in an intuitively designed system to support teaching and learning.
Dr. DiGiorgio compares Canvas favorably to Blackboard because its “interface (is) easier and more intuitive” and she thinks that Canvas’ modules “provide cleaner pages and hierarchy for students than did Blackboard's file handling.” DiGiorgio’s students have also taken to Canvas’ interactive features, using Chat to “ask quick questions and relay last-minute information and detail.” Canvas is “up-to-date and flexible,” reports DiGiorgio.
